Big Boi of the legendary OutKast came through to the “Ed Lover Show!” He shared insight into his & Andre 3000‘s songwriting process, and how, between Big Boi and Andre, they decide who is going to rap first on a record. Big Boi explains why they weren’t afraid to do their iconic “Bombs Over Baghdad,” and why writing and recording music is always his top priority. He also talks about why he hasn’t done more film and TV, and hints at the possibility of some to come in the future. He talks about his upcoming album, “Boomaverse,” which he readies with the intention of shaking things up. Big Boi also talks about wanting to see the evolution of younger artists, and making sure he stays somewhat on top of what new music is happening.

Plus, he talks about a cartoon that he has done in partnership with Vimeo that we’ll see coming out soon. Big Boi also talks about his favorite artists, and the wide range of influences he grew up on, which includes British singer & songwriter, Kate Bush. Much to Monie Love‘s astonishment, Big Boi talks about sitting down to dinner with Kate Bush to talk about life and music.
